Solution to Support ODOT’s Equipment & Inventory Management System (EIMS) as First Step to Implementing a Holistic Enterprise Infrastructure Asset Management System

AUSTIN, TX, November 26, 2012 – AgileAssets Inc., the leading global provider of integrated infrastructure asset management software solutions for public agencies, today announced that the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has selected AgileAssets’ infrastructure asset management software to support their Equipment & Inventory Management System (EIMS).

The selection represents ODOT’s first step toward the implementation of a holistic, enterprise-wide infrastructure asset management system that unifies ODOT’s infrastructure asset management processes. The enterprise system empowers department staff with tools that enable more effective operational and long-term planning decisions that achieve the highest possible return on investment (ROI) and maximum value for Ohio’s taxpayers.

AgileAssets was selected by ODOT from among several candidate vendors after an exhaustive selection process which included surveying other state DOT agencies. The selection reconfirms AgileAssets as the vendor of choice for state departments of transportation (DOTs) that seek to implement advanced infrastructure asset management systems or modernize existing systems. To date, 19 state DOTs including California, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia have selected AgileAssets asset management software solutions.

As part of the agreement, AgileAssets will introduce infrastructure asset management best practices within ODOT to ensure that the department achieves maximum benefit from their asset management efforts. ODOT will also leverage the modularized structure of the AgileAssets system with a phased-in implementation process that is based on asset classes.
