Nevada Department of Transportation Selects AgileAssets for Statewide Enterprise Asset Management System

Nevada DOT licenses AgileAssets’ integrated enterprise solution to help minimize life-cycle costs associated with managing and maintaining over 5,400 miles of roads, 1,100 bridges, and 60,000 stormwater drainage facilities.

September 12, 2017, Austin, Texas – AgileAssets Inc. announced today that the Nevada Department of Transportation (Nevada DOT) has selected AgileAssets Infrastructure Asset Management Software to better manage their diverse portfolio of roads, bridges, stormwater facilities, and other transportation assets valued at more than $5.4B billion.

Nevada DOT will replace their current asset management systems with AgileAssets’ integrated enterprise solution to minimize life-cycle costs associated with maintaining their transportation assets while providing the highest level of service and safety to the traveling public.

“Nevada DOT desired an integrated, commercial “off-the-shelf” Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) that helps us better manage our pavement, bridges, stormwater facilities and other critical infrastructure assets,” said Rudy Malfabon, Director at Nevada DOT. “With the AgileAssets software, we’ll achieve this objective while improving our ability to better control costs, comply with regulations, and deliver better service to our taxpayers.”

The Nevada DOT EAMS will include the following core components:

  • Maintenance Management System (MMS)
  • Pavement Management System (PMS)
  • Bridge Management System (BMS)
  • Stormwater Management System (SWS)

This single, integrated EAMS solution provides seamless data exchange between pavement, bridge, maintenance and stormwater management functions thereby reducing risk, enhancing system usability, and increasing staff efficiency through data integration across the organization.

“AgileAssets offers a truly integrated solution to support Nevada’s asset analysis, planning, and work management,” says Stuart Hudson, Founder and President of AgileAssets. “Our comprehensive and proven integrated enterprise approach will ensure information sharing among users, asset management applications, and with other Nevada DOT financial and management systems. With AgileAssets, Nevada DOT can maximize the value and safety of their public infrastructure by best allocating the limited resources available.”

AgileAssets has partnered with Atkins, a world‐renowned engineering services firm that has designed some of Nevada DOT’s largest and most challenging roadway projects, to leverage their experience with Nevada DOT’s EPA requirements and global experience in implementing tools for managing stormwater and other asset management systems. Together, AgileAssets and Atkins provide a highly experienced EAMS solution team and the project management professionals uniquely capable of delivering Nevada DOT’s EAMS.

“We are very excited to have this opportunity to lend our infrastructure domain expertise to this project for NDOT.  As a long-term client of ours, we recognize NDOT’s ambitions to optimize their asset management strategy and look forward to ensuring this new system meets their goals,” says Roger Philippi, Atkins Vice President and Southwest Division Manager.

AgileAssets’ solutions adhere to EPA and MAP‐21/FAST Act tracking and performance reporting requirements for bridge, pavement and stormwater assets, saving considerable agency time and improving reporting accuracy.
